We were discussing this offering on Discord because it ties in quite nicely with the new Orcs, Conquerors of Elves and Men™ PDF guide.

The Halls of the Orc King packaging is beautiful with a heavy-duty telescoping box and the minis inside are neatly tucked in a blister pack with a lid! Included is a foldout map and 5e adventure guide both of which are professional quality. You’ll want to hang onto these.

Inside are 20 figures already mounted on round bases. It is fair to note 1 of my figures wasn’t assembled correctly, an easy fix, plus 1 was broken despite the excellent packaging.

Where these figures fall down is the material. The minis lack sharp detail similar to bad 3D printing. I wasn’t sure what creatures the mounted Orcs were riding and decided these were cave bears.

Overall, the minis are a bit too chunky and not as detailed as original Reaper Bones Orcs available on this site. You can also check out ReaperMini.com and add Orcs sculpted in the Bones USA material, which is comparable to the detail found in metal minis.

At $41.50 on Amazon, this set remains convenient and a good value with figures just over $2 each. Pop them out of the box and get them on the battlemap quick. (Pretend the mounted Orcs are on stone horses). I would not spend time painting these figures; you’ll find significantly better options from a variety of manufacturers.
